Aomori prefecture with its capital city sharing the same name is located in the Tōhoku region. It is known for its vast variety of agriculture, especially famous for their apples. Aomori also offers beautiful natural scenery and is the home of the Aomori Nebuta and Hirosaki Neputa festivals.
